That's a good point. On the last site you built, www.canadian-money-advisor.ca the code you built nicely integrated CSS and php and html.
As far as I'm concerned, that is the best search engine friendly, content based site we've built. You cut through alot of the old clunky html to build a clean efficient site that shows the content to the content hungry search engines.
We started getting some search engine traffic after about 2 weeks of the site being published. That's pretty good. Being a new site, we're just developing the content, so the searches are getting steadily more as we go.
Colin, would you say that all sites should be turned over to this new clean CSS cascading style sheets format?
What are some examples of sites that should be converted to your method of programming with CSS, php and html? What are some examples of websites that SHOULD NOT be converted to this CSS PHP and html format?

Cascading Style Sheets are more than just a good way to design the look of a web site; in fact, good CSS can help with Search Engine Optimization, not to mention being a way to separate a site's presentation from its content as much as possible, thus making it possible to update an entire site's look and feel without editing each individual page.
The goal of good CSS is not just flashiness or prettiness -- it is cleaner HTML code, and the flexibility to modify a site's look without making modifications to its content -- which is a big time-saver. The initial design of a site's CSS (and how the site will use it) may take some time and effort, but once you have a working model, it becomes rather easy to make changes that are site-wide. And because the HTML code ends up cleaner, less cluttered with styling information (definition of borders, colors, fonts, etc.), that means that your actual content takes up a higher percentage of the information on each page, which is good for search engine optimization.

I was happy that Colin helped me with the graphics and CSS, Cascading style sheet looks on my Financial Maturity Blog which is hosted on www.blogger.com
Blogger.com has a few nice templates, but if you don't want to look like everyone else, you have to do it up your own way. I like a custom look and for the financial maturity topic, it was important to have something easy on the eyes, and professional looking.
I found the blogger.com template pretty complex as it relies mostly on CSS for the layout. I've worked with CSS a little but certainly don't have the experience to competently edit the CSS code.
Colin was able to go in and get me the look that I need. There are still more tweaks that I want to do, (there are always tweaks to do) however, we've got a solid start.
That is just an example of Colin being able to get into a foreign programming environment and do some good work.

Hey Colin,
Can you illustrate some of the things you've built in php, mysql, html, and css so that people can get an idea of the work you've done?
Also, take a moment to take about why these features would be beneficial to our client's and new clients.
The good thing is that you've built so many good things, there is a great deal to talk about.
Thanks,
Monty Loree
