This got me thinking: is viral marketing good for any brand?
As we create rich, viral advertising, we must keep an open mind in terms of what will motivate content sharing.

Is viral marketing good for any brand? Presumably I would say, YES!!
Isn't that what everybody strives for? The only companies who wouldn't want their brand to be publicly talked about are secret type governmental military services that are hush hush. That's fine with me. I don't want to talk about them any way.
Otherwise every retailer and manufacturer wants their product to be talked about at the office, at home and everywhere else.
Viral marketing is about you telling two people, and they tell two people, who in turn tells two people.
The key to viral marketing on the internet is to get people to take your information and share it with others. I think what Dorian Sweet is getting at is that not all types of viral marketing fit all type of products or services.
