I found this John Reese video on Alice Seba's blog. Alice is very diligent at posting good quality information.

John Reese claims that he made $526,744 in 2005 with Google Adsense. As always I'm curious and decide to listen to the full length video that he's presenting.

I was listening to John Reese intently to see what he's saying and how he claims to have made that kind of money. I had to really listen because most of the presentation seemed to be about how the earnings increased and decreased daily etc. I like everybody else wanted to know how he did this.

The point that stuck out was that John Reese mentioned that he's beeng doing website marketing for over 10 years and has taken a scientific approach to marketing. So... to start off with, he's taking his 10 years of experience, putting the best of the best together and then implementing it.

He probably sat for quite a while thinking of the best type of experiments to do, the best designs to use, the best software designs to use based on his 10 years of experience. Add to all this that he's used the scientific approach over 10 years so he's got data to support the implementation of the best of the best.

I can't argue with that. An engineer with 25 years experience is going to make better decisions on a project than a 2nd year engineering student, even though the engineering student may have the aptitude for engineering projects. The person with 25 years experience has simply seen more things go right and wrong over those years.

That's how to be successful in this business. Keep trying and testing things until you weed out what doesn't work and keep what does work. That's what I'm doing!!
