Chase credit card
If you're confused as to how fees and reward work for your chase credit cards, it's worth it to take a few hours to read and review your credit application and regulations.
I've read quite a few credit card applications and I'll admit that I have to read and reread them in order to fully understand them.
Make no mistake about it. credit card applications and agreements are written in such a way that if a credit card client defaults, the credit card company will have the best chance of collecting. The agreements are written to appease the court system.. They're not necessarily written for the customer.
I don't think that credit card legalise is necessarily a bad thing. It does establish the expectations of the credit relationship. I find however that many credit card user don't have the interest or inclination to understand their credit card agreements.
The only times you really need to understand your credit agreement is to calculate your interest payments and if you default on payment.
Credit is a complicated tool that we all use. The person that spends a few hours learning the expectations of his/her creditors will save themselves alot of headaches in the future. There's always a certain peace of mind knowing exactly where you stand in your credit relationships.
If you've got a Chase credit card, or other, take a moment to call Chase customer service and review your credit agreement. If you don't have a credit agreement, ask their customer service for one. They'll be pleased to help.
