File Tax Returns For Free But Read The Rules

File your tax returns at no charge, but understand the regulations
It's free to File returns, but read rules. Why should you pay to fax in state and taxation returns - federal income when you can fax them them for free online? I filed my federal taxation return for twenty nine dollars using TurboTax. But at Virginia Department of Taxation's iFile site, the return was free to submit.

I would have filed both returns using TurboTax. But there was a gotcha at the end of the federal return: The state return, which takes only moments more to complete, would have cost $36.95 more.
Faxing Tax Return tip... if you're going to fax in your tax returns... make sure that you always ensure that all of the fax pages have gone through properly. If they haven't all gone through, you'll have an incomplete return, because it wasn't faxed properly.
